m&m kiss pretzels

October 14, 2010

How sweet and easy are these? My friend Kristen emailed this to me this week: “I had these little pretzels at a family reunion this weekend, and they were both tasty and cute. They travel well after they are chilled, and they would be fun to make with kids, especially using different colors of holiday M&Ms, etc. Enjoy!”

INGREDIENTS:
24 mini pretzels
24 milk chocolate candy kisses
1 (1.69 ounce) package mini candy
-coated chocolates
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Place pretzels on baking sheets. Unwrap candy kisses and place one in the center of each pretzel.
3. Place in preheated oven 1 to 2 minutes, until kisses melt. Remove from oven and place one candy-coated chocolate in the center of each pretzel. Chill in refrigerator until set.

These look really yummy and EASY which is right up my alley! Maybe I will put in a Reese’s Pieces instead of an M&M…

These are also delicious topped with a Rolo (chocolate covered caramel) and then a colorful M&M or toasted pecan. Popular with the preschool set (and their parents!)!

Thanks for sharing this yummy, super easy recipe. My girls, ages 4 and 5, just helped make these. It was easy for them to do most of the work. The tips of the kisses were a little hard to push down. I pre-pushed them and then they were able to push their M&M’s down easier. The only dangerous thing is they are so easy to pop in your mouth, it’s hard not to finish off the whole batch :-).
