back in the saddle
It’s good to be home, but we had the BEST trip!! Many of you know I had serious anxiety about how our 3 year old would do on an overseas vacation. But, both our boys did amazing. Every night I would climb into bed thinking about our day and was so happy. For the ages of our boys- 3 and 6, there were 4 important things I brought that might be helpful if I share:
1. umbrella stroller- this was worth it from the first five minutes we strolled him through the never-ending Frankfurt airport. We used it everyday!
2. lots of snacks- protein bars, breakfast bars, gummies- anything to keep everyone happy.
3. ipod touch- so yes- I gave in and bought a refurbished itouch the day before we left. it was crucial for our long drives and downtime!! both the boys loved it and I would recommend one to any traveling family. (or 2)
4. raincoats!! It seems to never rain here in Colorado but it sure rained a lot in Italy in March!! 2 days before the trip, I bought theboys coats at REI and packed their umbrellas- much better than them being cold and wet all day.
I hope to post some info on our trip that will help other traveling families that may search for information online. If there’s anything specific you would like to know, email me or leave a comment and I will respond in an upcoming post.
For now, we are back, readjusting to the time change and are really glad we took the chance and went on this trip.

Thanks for the tips. Keep them coming. Great family photo btw!
