loving this dish!

Our friends Hunter and JT had us over for dinner last night and it was awesome! I love dishes like this that are so tasty but not too hard. When Hunter put the pasta in my bowl, she said that she didn’t mean to put so much to which I told her I would eat all of it, no problem! My bowl was wiped clean. This dish is going in my regular dinner recipes for sure! Here is the recipe for Rao’s Orecchiette with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage.

I absolutely love your site! Thanks for bringing it into my life:). I’m so busy and have no time to do anything besides work and the kids that I’d feel out of it without you.
So what the heck is Broccoli Rabe? Could you use any other veggie like spinach or something as a substitute, think it would taste as good?

Thanks Kim! So, my friend Hunter didn’t use rabe either- she just bought brocollini which was delicious. I am not good at straying from a recipe, so I am not sure about spinach- although it sounds good to me! Worth a try but you should be able to find brocollini at Sprouts. Since you will also be cooking for your kids, you could take some of the pasta out and just add butter or a red sauce if they would like that better. good luck! let me know if you try it.
Other vegetables would work well I am sure, but I strongly recommend finding some brocoli rabe. There is nothing like it!!
