the secret to boiling eggs

June 9, 2010

I tore out an article from Rachel Ray Magazine about a year ago that had different food specialists giving up secrets on certain foods.  One takeaway I had was that your hard-boiled eggs should not stink. Howard Helmer (aka The Incredible Egg Man) writes, “It’s boiling them too long that causes the sulfurous stench. To avoid that, place a single layer of eggs in a pot and cover with water by 1 inch. Pop on a lid, bring the water to a boil and then immediately remove the pot from the heat. Let the eggs stand, covered, for 14 minutes before plunging them into ice-cold water.”

I use Origins A Perfect World for my body cream and Yonks Creme 28 for my face. They do cost more but last a long time.

Sorry the face cream is Yonka, not Yonks–I really spell well.
