a homemade life
“When I walk into the kitchen today, I am not alone. Whether we know it or not, none of us is. We bring fathers and mothers and kitchen tables, and every meal we’ve ever eaten. Food is never just food. ” – excerpt from A Homemade Life by Molly Wizenberg.
I keep going back to this book- it’s written so beautifully and full of family recipes, great food and a neat perspective. I think Molly is right on about how much we think of others when we cook, when we make a family recipe, when we smell a certain smell. If you are one who likes to cook, pick up this book! If you want to sample the first chapter- click here. (sidenote- of course she lives in… Seattle!!)
Thanks for posting such a great article..Nothing brings a family together quite like a good meal..
I want Molly W. to be my friend! Glad you read and liked this one…I adored it. Her Orangette blog is fun.
Loved the quote because it rings so true. Thanks Suzanne
