the green milkshake

I feel  like a battle was won in my house a couple of nights ago.  Now that I am in the smoothie zone over here, I had torn out a recipe for an Avocado Smoothie from Family Fun magazine. Since I had all the ingredients on hand, I threw it in the blender when the boys weren’t around and sold it off as “A GREEN MILKSHAKE!” My 5 year old was not so impressed but my non-dairy loving 2 year old took it down excitedly.  They both kept asking me what was in it, but I remained mum!!

*for the record, I didn’t love it myself, but it wasn’t bad.  And honestly, I will make this again and try other funny colored milkshakes in the name of health!
