paint bag writing

October 28, 2010

This is a genius idea for working on letter’s and shapes, or anything else your child would enjoy drawing. Paint Bag Writing is so crafty- I knew my 3 year old would love it. It is a great way for me to help him hold a pen as well- a q-tip is a great place to start! I did this yesterday with him and it was so easy.  We pressed our hands and feet on it and did lots of letters and drawing. The best part being – no clean up!

I also liked this idea for my older son- called Counting The House– a simple but great activity for him to do while I cooked dinner last night!  He got very into this project and asked me to do it again with him before bed. You can print her free pdf- wonderful when people offer that on their site.

All these ideas are from a creative site called Let’s Explore.

Genious! Morgan just said “this is like the coolest thing ever!” and skipped off to start counting. 🙂

Good idea. Another spin on this is to put lightly hued gel in a bag & lay it over large block letters/numbers/shapes, etc. & let them trace.
