bacon wrapped dates

November 10, 2010

I feel almost silly putting this easy amazing appetizer recipe in this post- but many of you have asked for it before- so here it is:

Bacon Wrapped Dates

Pitted dates (make sure they are pitted!)

Cut raw bacon in half and wrap each piece around the date and put on baking sheet.  You can put a toothpick through it before cooking or after. Cook at 425 for about 10 – 15 minutes in a lipped pan so the grease doesn’t drip all over your oven (ask me how I know this). Serve hot.

These are always one of the FAVORITE recipes of any party we have given. The plate is cleared faster than any other!  There seems to be many versions of this recipe online- and here is another that sounds great- Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Blue Cheese.
