trip vs. vacation

My friend Julie wrote me a great email about her time in Italy with her kids many years ago- she had wonderful advice. The last line of her email was the greatest though – “Remember Suzanne, when you go somewhere with your kids, it’s a trip. When you go with just your husband, it’s a vacation.”
