mitchell’s license
I read about Mitchell’s License by Hallie Durand in People magazine, I mean – the Wall Street Journal. It sounded like a great kid’s book so I picked it up at our library. Mitchell is a little boy who never ever wants to go to bed (sound familiar?) until his dad plays a game with him that makes his dad into a “car” which Mitchell can operate. He “gets his license” and off they go racing to bed. It’s a really sweet book with great illustrations and fun for me to read to my boys. They were laughing out loud at certain parts- it’s silly. I also love that it’s about fathers and sons but has nothing to do with building something out of wood! This would be a great gift book- see if your library carries it as it was recently published.
