easter chick

March 27, 2013

chick_2webI am preparing for my son’s preschool spring party this Friday and decided to make this Baby Chick craft with his class as one of the activities. In pulling the items together, I just love how cute and easy this project is. What did we ever do without blogs!!?

This Sunday we will be heading to Littleton to celebrate Easter with some of our family. My sister-in-law found this Strawberry Bruschetta recipe and asked me to bring it along- looks delicious!

And on my list to make soon are chocolate chip cookies- this is a recipe my oldest sister sent with the words “MAKE THESE!” in the subject.

1 1/3 cups of all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1 cup cooking oats
¼ cup m&ms
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar

Stir all dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl.  Add 1 slightly beaten egg, ½ cup butter, 1 tsp vanilla.  Mix well and roll into small balls. Bake 10 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven.
