summer reads

June 11, 2013

camppicsWith all the summer books coming out- I have downloaded a bunch that I can’t wait to start reading!  I just started The Yonahlossee Riding Camp for Girls by Anton DiSclafani and although I am  only100 pages in- I am really liking it.  I am very excited for Sisterland by Curtis Sittenfeld who also wrote Prep– which I wasn’t a big fan of personally- but this book is getting lots of buzz! It is released June 25.  Another book I am really looking forward to is And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini- who wrote A Thousand Splendid Suns and Kite Runner- amazing books.  Finally- a new Jeanette Wells book! The Silver Star is out and getting strong reviews.

Have you read anything great lately? I know I will be finished with these by the end of June- so please give me book titles you have on your list!

Just read Bread & Wine by Shauna Niequist in two days – you would love it. A book about food, life and what nourishes the soul. She’s a wonderful writer.

You recommended months back Consequences by Aleatha Romig! I got hooked and read her follow up Truth!!! Amazing!!! These books are dark, sexy and a great story!
Now I’m waiting on the final one called Conviction.
