4thdrinksHello? It’s mid-June already? My guys are on week 3 of camp and it’s hard to believe!

Hope everyone is enjoying the first official day of summer!!

Here are some recent favorites:

The Honest Company– I have recently become a big fan of this company! Their cleaning products are really really good and they smell wonderful- plus my daughter is sporting their swim diaper and I much prefer that over the bulky and expanding swim diapers you buy and toss

I am wearing my Sperry Top-Sider Tuckerfish flip flops over all my others! Love the padded footbed and the great colors in the nautical roping.

I made Pisco Sours when we were in the mountains with friends last weekend. This recipe is easy but I would say that this makes two drinks, not four. Good news is you only need one!

Athleta Run Tank– just what I have been looking for all these years.

Just began And the Mountains Echoed– and I am really liking it. I love hearing what you are reading so please don’t be shy and leave a comment!

Recording Skywire this weekend: Nic Wallenda tries to cross the Grand Canyon on a tightrope. My boys are excited to see him attempt this on Sunday! Looks amazing.

July 4th Layered Drinks- ignore the sugar content and surprise your kids!!

Have a wonderful weekend.

The Skywire is Terrifying. Don’t understand him, but will be watching.

Thanks for all your favorites!! Reading Ken Follett’s tome (nearly 1000 pages…gasp) “Winter of the Worlds”, the second in a series. It is pretty good but I’m ready for the, “I can’t put it down type of book we all love to read, especially in the summer.”

Happy to hear that the new Mountains Echoed book is good. I love that author. I’m reading a book that I heard about on Goodreads and am really enjoying it. It’s called The Space Between Us. It’s not the best title but a great book about a wealthy Indian woman and her servant and their intertwining lives. I’m a huge India-culture fan and this one is hitting the spot. I’ve been struggling to find a good book for WAY too long. Another great one: MARY COIN (that’s the name of the book), an historical fiction book about the famous Dorothea Lange photograph from the Depression that we all know. LOVED IT! Thanks for all the great book recommendations CM! Lov ya

Hi Jill! I loved The Space Between Us and tell people about it often. I thought it was so well-written. Excited to hear about Mary Coin- will look it up. THANKS!

PS I read a really interesting article about the Wallenda guy in my favorite little Guideposts magazine about the role that faith has played in his life. So interesting. What an incredible man.

I love the swim diapers I used for Hazel and now for Clara. Called Bummis, they are a reusable/washable diaper and the company makes a super cute tank swim top that coordinates. Great for summer days when they come out of the pool and need to put on a regular diaper, but this they can leave the top on.
