hot off the grill

June 8, 2010

My husband taught me how to grill about 6 years ago and ever since I am a big fan.  We have a gas grill so I can only speak to grilling that way, but it’s so easy and I grill a couple nights a week.  I love that it means no kitchen clean up, no pots, no hot oven.  I know that grilling is often seen as man’s territory but to me, that is crazy! Ladies, if you want me to give you good instructions on it, let me know.  As I said, it’s EASY. Other than a large cooking spatula, my main go-to tool is the Oxo Digital Instant Read Thermometer.  This tells you if the meat is done in record time. Everyone should have something like this to avoid eating under-cooked meat. I have done it twice in my life and the results weren’t great. Anyways, if you don’t have these tools, you may want to consider giving them to a griller for Father’s Day.  Or buy them for yourself and start grilling!

Yes that thermometer is great and we use it all the time. I, for one, would love the Concierge Mom’s good grilling instructions. I’ve done it, but not that often, and the results are always hit or miss. What settings do you use for the gas grill for most of your grilling?

I too want the Concierge Mom’s secrets to grilling…! I feel paralyzed when I do so. I ALWAYS overcook things. I turn the grill on and off but other than that, I send my hubby out to do the cooking 🙂 Please share!!!
