the nursery: an update
Well, our little girl’s room is finished. I am so happy with it. It still needs some things on the wall, but that will come with time. I may have told you we moved to Colorado when our second son was about 3 weeks old, so we moved him into the nursery with some new bedding, but mainly we used the same boy decor we had from our first. It was cute, but the walls were still the builder’s brown until this past September! My husband was a total champ in letting me do what I wanted with her room, and I just love being in there. Here is my recent post on paint color and bedding choices. In addition, a valance was added (this transformed the room in my opinion!) and a butterfly mobile and new overhead light fixture. I found the shag pillow at Crate and Barrel and the Zinnia Rose blanket over the chair at Dwell Studios. The table lamp is from here and many of the closet organization bins and document boxes came from here and here. All of the furniture we had from before and it’s mainly from Pottery Barn Kids. These are the most pictures I have put on my blog! I hope you don’t need to squint to see them! We can’t wait for her to arrive.
She is one lucky little girl. What a beautiful room to call home.

Looks great! Can’t wait to meet her!
Such a serene room; I love it!
Looks wonderful! Just waiting for her to come into this world.
Nicely done
Love the room! Your pink is a great color. Also love the zinnia blanket. Paige’s quilt and shams are from dwell, too. Love their stuff!
Cant wait for her arrival!
I have been waiting for the “big reveal!” And it looks so great on the blog, I know its going to be that much better in person. On a side note, I was driving home last night with the kids & noticed the light on in her room. Both you & Tom were standing by the closet. It was such a sweet moment to catch a glimpse of the parents to be nesting in her room. She is one very lucky girl. :o)
Look at all the pink in her room! Love it!!
